Wow! It has been a whole year since Language in Focus was
launched at BIS Primary, and we've already learnt about Polish, German, Malay,
Thai and Korean! It has been so much fun exploring so many different languages and cultures.
As part of our Lunar New Year celebrations here at BIS Primary,
we put together a special 'Happy New Year' video showcasing all of the
different languages represented at both campuses. Incredibly, the video
consists of 36 languages shared with us by over a hundred students, and a few teachers too! During
filming, it was delightful to see the students proudly using their first
languages, as well as those they are learning at school. We showed the video at
the start of last Friday's whole school assembly and it was lovely to see such
a positive response from everyone in the audience. Take a look and see if you can spot someone you know.
